Spring has sprung
With a brand - new zine available in my shop.
Hello! It’s finally SPRING !!! 🎶
I can’t believe that this awful winter is behind us. Left, gone! Birds are chirping, nature is flourishing, people are smiling! It feels so good, after months of rain, storms and just miserable weather overall.
Last weekend I took advantage of the sunny break and I went for an exciting adventure. It was supposed to be all about drawing on location and birdwatching, however my plans quickly changed.
Did I see any birds? Oh yes! I saw plenty of blue, coal and great tits. Along my fellow wood pigeons and a lonely swan, from the distance. However, did I managed to sketch something? Absolutely not.
But I have a very good reason! I was busy trying to get my feet out of thick mud, while wearing just a pair of trainers. Trust me, I have learnt my lesson.
If you have been living in the UK for more than 9 years and you don’t to own a pair of wellies, well you can’t really complain if you have to rely on completely strangers and dog walkers to help you crossing the muddy and dangerous path.
However, besides almost risking to get my precious sketchbooks and art materials forever lost and buried underneath Pevensey Marshes, I have been busy juggling different projects, including a brand new zine.
NATURA is now available in my shop! 🦋
Natura means simply, nature. I decided to use the Italian word, as the majority of the illustrations included have been created in Italy. 🌱
This A6 zine is a comprehensive collection of nature-themed sketches made from the Summer 2023 to January 2024 between Italy and the UK, using my trusty A6 Pith Supply “Kabosu” Sketchbook.
It contains 32 full-colour pages, printed in the UK by Mixam on recycled uncoated 135gsm paper and 250gsm recycled uncoated for the cover.
